Wow!!! Week 6 has just finished and we reflect on a busy week.
Our School Value this week has been 'Cooperation'.
We show our cooperation skills by managing ourselves in group rotations and continue to ensure we are using "Kind Words" and "Safe Hands" in our interactions with each other.
On Wednesday morning before school, we had a little dead, baby bird bought into the class. There was a lot of discussion from class members about what to do with it. The children involved with gardening club decided on where to place it and after getting a photo, buried it ... then washed their hands.
We also had a Praying Mantis visit our class. After roaming around on a few hands, then running around on Mrs Thompsons' head, our visitor flew to the roof and watched the class all day. We remained quiet so as not to scare it, then the next day, our little friend was returned to the outdoor environment, where it was a lot happier.
Here are some more photos showing pride in our work.

Awww, poor baby bird. A good opportunity to learn about empathy and the life cycle though. Lots of caring kids in Room 7 by the looks!
