LITERACY

We read the book "Let's See, Ling Lee" and following our discussions, decided to make our own fish bowls.   The activity allowed us to explore our individuality, while having a common goal - creating a fish bowl we liked.
We used pens, pencils, felts, vivids, and paper/collage materials.  Creating, colouring, cutting and gluing - then the fishbowls were complete.  The varied and interesting ideas were shared, some adjustments made and explanations of different fish too.

Willow and Mynika wrote whiteboard stories during rotations.  They continue to demonstrate their confidence as writers by sharing with classmates.   They provide feedback on their writing, and check if their WALT for the day has been achieved.  Tino pai.

There is so much we can do with sharing our own ideas and feelings in Story Writing.
We enjoy using pictures to support our writing.  Check our some of our work.

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS!
We love our books in Room 7.
We take pride in our work and have fun in our learning on the way.

We know the importance of Phonics to help us to read and write.  Here is one way to help build our confidence with the sounds.
